Jackson is the pen name of Jack Williamson, a former music industry executive who spent over two decades living life backstage—touring the globe with chart-topping superstars and navigating the wild, unpredictable rhythms of fame. PERSONAL FACTS

  1. I am a qualified psychotherapist as well as an author.

  2. I love to travel the world, have visited all seven continents, and lost count of the number of countries I’ve been to.

  3. I have climbed Mount Everest, been to Antarctica, chased tornadoes in the US, and continue to do things that push me outside of my comfort zone.

  4. I live in London, but have previously lived in Los Angeles.

  5. My favourite food is a toss-up between Japanese & Mexican.

  6. Two things I want to improve on this decade are my Spanish and piano playing skills.

  7. I have a sweet tooth, and a sucker for sour sweets.

WRITING FACTS

  1. I’m very disciplined when it comes to my writing, and lock myself away in my office until I write at least one chapter.

  2. My best ideas always come to me when I go for a run.

  3. All of my stories pull from real-life experiences of people I know, but for understandable reasons, I change their names and identities to respect their anonymity.

  4. Though I have a strong outline for each book, I’m more of a discovery writer, which is fun to see the characters evolve on the page.

  5. I am a visual writer, and travel to the places featured in my books, and will then use images, videos I take of the places when writing.

  • Yes. The Stolen Romance series starts with Stolen Moments, then Stolen Hearts and finally Stolen Dreams. The prequel novella Stolen Nights can be read at any point in the series.

  • Yes, I have two further book series planned, that will roll out once The Stolen Romance series is completed. Each book series will have a nod to either characters or locations in the other series, so keep your eyes peeled.

  • I am currently circling back on an all female series, set in Los Angeles, that explores archetypes and injustice.

  • Yes. All my characters have muses. The Stolen Romance series is based on a true story, though some of the characters are a blend of people. For my next series, I have muses for each character based on many of the amazing women I’ve met in my life.

  • Yes. The plan is to translate The Stolen Romance series into other languages, including Spanish, French, and German. Keep an eye on the website and my socials for more details.

  • Fun, annoying, rewarding and torturous.

    I usually write the first draft in 3-4 weeks, then with the help of my editor, I go through the often excruciating process of the developmental and line edits.

    The three books and novella in The Stolen Romance series were all completed in a year, which nearly killed me.
